Burundi Girl Guides Association (BGGA)

Burundi Girl Guides Association, BGGA is the national guiding organization of Burundi and serves 11 000 members. In al guiding activities, they use the patropl system, a unique methodology based on a badge system as rewards for tasks accomlished. The patrol system encourages memebers to learn from one another, to lead one another. Most importantly it provides an environment where every member of the Patrol plays an active role and has responsibility in the group.

Nadege Niyungeko - volunteer at BGGA

Nadege Niyungeko is a volunteer at Burundi Girl Guides Association and works as communications officer, where she is in charge of the newsletter.

Nadege has been a member of Burundi Girl Guides Association for more than half her life. She started as a brownie when she was 10 years old. Later on she became a young leader for children between 12 and 16 years old in her unit area.

Nadege has a degree in Computer Science from Light University Bujumbura in Burundi.
